The sound of the warm Indian Ocean washing across gently curving bays or the roar of the magnificent lion is something to be experienced in person. Visitors to Africa frequently speak of the incredible sense of place and the unexplainable pull to return. To experience an African sunset or sunrise is truly unforgettable and will remain with you forever.

There are a number of reasons to get out of bed in the morning but nothing can be as motivating as an eagerly awaited travel adventure. I have been blessed with a 28 year career in travel and the enjoyment of travel can only be matched by the enthusiasm and comradeship of those one chooses to travel with. Travel in this wonderful world inspires, motivates and rewards me. The thrill of expectation and the promise of the yet to be discovered is indeed a powerful ally. There really is no place like Africa. The vast wilderness, the countless bio-sphere’s and diverse populations create the magical stage that draws travellers back again and again. A visit to Africa is an incredible experience and through my love for travel and Africa, I will offer you a journey that is driven by passion and care.

My Favourite place in Africa (Bazaruto Archipelago)

This tiny collection of Islands lying just off the Mozambique Coastline had my heart before we even touched down at Vilanculos Airport. The pilot was kind enough to fly over the Islands before landing giving a perfect view of the white sandy beaches and crystal-clear Indian Ocean which cradles this majestic marine wonderland. Days on the Island’s were filled with adventure; from snorkelling on the pristine reefs, witnessing the spectacle of bait balls and the feeding frenzy from both airborne and ocean predators, sailing a hobby to Paradise Island, and seeing the smiles of local fisherman as they retrieve their nets bulging with their days catch. I was even fortunate enough to see the mystical Dugong which really is the strangest looking sea creature one could imagine! Leaving the Island was not easy but I knew I would return soon which I have done may times. Each time with the same anticipation and excitement as the first time.

With its ancient rock formations, stunning desert scenery, and unique wildlife, it has secured its place as my favourite destination to explore and immerse myself in nature’s splendour.
